Hey guys, I replaced an O2 sensor based on the code given. The light went out but my gas mileage dropped nearly 2mpg. What's up with that? I was chompping at the bit to get this sensor replace cause I just knew it was going to improve my gas mileage. Why would it do this?

do you need to maybe reset computer by disconnecting battery? Or maybe it takes time and miles for the sensor to sync.

Not sure, but maybe the old sensor was causing it to run lean... Maybe now it's giving it the right amount and well unfortunately, using more fuel.

As mentioned, probably not a bad idea to disconnect the battery for a bit tho.
