Gas caps

I'm in the process of buying a 2006 Tahoe. The vin number says it has the flex fuel engine. I was told the gas cap is yellow on flex fuel cars. This vehicle has black cap. Is this ok? or should I buy a new yellow one?

might just be an aftermarket cap. call your local parts store and give them the info for a flex fuel truck and ask them what color cap they have for that part number. if its black then your ok but if not and its yellow then you might need to get another one
