Fuel pressure questions

[2001Tahoe]

I have a 01 tahoe 5.3 eng. What is the stock fuel pressure?? Also I replaced the fuel pump couple days ago and I used the old rubber seal/gasket from the old pump. Now I notice that every time I open the gas cap theres no pressure?? What's the worse that could happen?? Or what could happen?? I'd hate to drop the tank again just to replace the rubber seal/gasket.

There's not suppose to be pressure when you open the cap. The fuel pressure should be about 60psi. You should be fine reusing the old gasket. If it is leaking, however, your check engine light will come on after the computer runs the evap monitor.
