I've only been driving my '04 Yukon for a week, but the fuel gauge is driving me nuts. It's all over the place. Today, at one point the Low Fuel light was on, then as I was driving to the gas station, it rose up to almost a quarter of a tank.

Is there a trick, a fix, or an explaination for this? Earlier this week it went from a half a tank to a quarter of a tank, back up to just slightly under half again. I wasn't on any major hills or uneven roads.

Thanks!
Rebecca

More than likely it's the fuel sending unit. This has happened on a couple of my GM vehicles. Run some cheap fuel injector (STP, ect...gas station stuff) cleaner for the next couple tanks of gas and see if that helps. It sometimes works. If not, time to replace the pump because IIRC, the sending unit is built into the pump and cannot be replaced by itself. I could be wrong on that though.
