frustrated with my hoe

hey guys i have a 98 4x4 vortec tahoe and when i let my tahoe set up for a couple of days without starting it wont start unless i tinker with it and put starting fluid in it while my wife cranks the engine....after it cranks then itll crank like a champ like it has never had a starting problem UNTILL i go out of town and it sets up for a couple of days...anyone have a similar issue...fuel pressure gauge is giving me full pressure at the schrader valve.

full pressure being how many pounds?? it should have 55 to 60 pounds.

You might have an issue with the fuel pump prime or the fuel pressure regualtor is not working or a fuel injector issue. Lots to chek out.
