does anyone else have problems with their door locks being constantly frozen? i'm finding this to be getting really annoying. is there anything i can do about it?

the next thought is, do all of these come with keyless entry standard cause i didn't get remotes when i bought it? i dunno if it either just doesn't have it or if they lost em somewhere and i need to get new ones. thanks

By frozen, do you mean frozen as in COLD?

GM Key Fobs for my wife's Grand Prix GT were $125 each. Some bull story about having to reprogram the keyless entry system to the new Fob.

I got an aftermarket alarm installed, and it also has keyless entry. I'd just do that if you have the extra $$$. Alarms can lower some auto insurance rates too.

When your locks thaw out, put some graphite in them to keep them from freezing. You can get it at a hardware store or like at a Home Depot. Comes in a small tube that you can squeeze to put it inside the locks.

Ah, good old lake effect weather BS. I feel your pain, I grew up near Toledo.

You could try WD40 too, as it will lube up your locks and displaces moisture.

FYI: My locksmith warned me away from that Lock-Eze in a blue can stuff when I mentioned how crappy it works. He told me to use a Teflon spray lube.

If water is getting into the door cavity from the window seal or rust holes then the linkages could get frozen, also.
