From what i've experienced, you might be better off buying a non hybrid Tahoe for a few reasons. I don't know if you want the hybrid based on the gas but the hybrid tahoe doesn't even really get that much better gas mileage than a regular one. With the price difference between the two being so huge, you'd save a lot more money in the long run by purchasing a non hybrid tahoe. Put it this way, my dad just traded his 07 Chev Silverado MAX. This is the big engine Silverado with the 6.0l V8, compared to the 5.6l V8 I think. Anyway his sticker price was like $54000 new or something around there. He got a buyback on the trade for $17500 and $21000. His truck is mint too. No scratches, leather is perfect, low miles, nothing wrong with it at all. Remind you that I live in Washington State where trucks and SUV's are needed. I bought a 07 Tahoe LTZ about 5 months ago for around $35000. Because of the last few months in rising gas prices people are selling their big cars. Gas prices aren't going to go down any time soon, so the market for these is going down the drain. So today I would bet that you could buy a used 07 Tahoe for mid 20's. Less than HALF of what an 08 hybrid would cost you. Just remember when buying a car from a dealer... they purchase cars for $4000 below wholesale book... Which wholesale is another $4000 below blue book value.
