I recently purchased a 2005 Tahoe Z71. This is my first Chevy and know little about them. My last vehicle was a lifted Ford Bronco. Anyway. I have two issues.

1. My heated seats work intermittently. What I mean is that they'll work for a couple of seconds then shut off. I noticed today that they shut off if I lift my back off the seat. They seem to work fine if I put pressure against the seat when I'm sitting in it. Anyone have the same problem or no how to fix it?

2. My fuel gauge seems to be malfunctioning. The other day I filled up the tank and drove about 150 miles. The next day when I got in the vehicle it was showing I was almost empty. Latter the same day it was at 1/2 a tank. What’s up with this?

I hate giving money to the Chevy dealer if its something I can fix myself. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

The gas gauge is a problem I've seen in my camaro and tahoe, I think its just the way the float in the tank is.. if you park upwards on a hill it will say you have more, park facing down a hill it will show less. Once you drive around about 5 mins mine usually fixes itself.
