I am looking for an older Tahoe but I am very new to Chevys. What is the oldest model you guys would consider and what kind of mileage would you be comfortable with.
My dad has had good luck with the Vortec engine. Is the 5.3l the old small block 327ci? If it is can you use older 327 parts? like intake manifolds cams, pistons etc?
Finally, what are some of the troubles with the Tahoe? What tranny should I avoid? Is there even a choice? I know the in-tank fuel pumps can be a pain but what other pitfalls are there in this model?
