Factory Sub Question

I have a 02 Yukon with an after market head unit (pioneer) and i was wondering how i would take advantage of the built in sub controls. I know I would have to connect to factory sub to the pre-amp outputs but how is this done or is it even worth it?

Not worth it IMO. Your best bet is to replace the sub, run an amp, and RCAs to your head unit for optimum use.
