Is there a way to watch movies up front while in drive? Now it only plays up front while in park.

by design, that is the way it's supposed to work...for obvious reasons. I have no idea if you can bypass this safety feature, but I know a dealer would not help you accomplish this.

I want asking a dealer. I also wasn't asking for an opinion.

What year Tahoe? I know their are modules that they sell that bypass it and was going to get one then decided against it... It seems like a really great idea, but it is just going to get you into an accident... Plain and simple you are going to be paying more attention to the movie then you are going to crash... They sell the modules if you Google it you will find it, but I strongly recommend NOT DOING IT...If you do you will be putting in a claim with your insurance company probably within a few month for crashing into someone... Plus is it really worth watching a movie taking the chance of crashing and getting hurt or more so getting who you crash into hurt over watching a movie while you drive?

I wanted one when I saw the modules, but thought about it and came up with its just not worth it, just asking for trouble...

I would get an iPad then because from what I remember the module was not cheap. I think it ran around 400.00 which was insane from the place I saw it at years ago. Plus I am sure u know with an iPad applications are unlimited and they have everything. For movies their is a program on a site pqdvd.com where it converts movies for you to put on an iPad, iPhone, ianything.....

I always thought it would be cool if they came up with a split screen on the head unit of the vehicle where on the drivers angle they see the Navigation or whatever is on the screen and on the passenger side angle they could watch a movie.... Same screen just showing something different on the angle.

I know years back I read they were testing where a movie would project up on the windshield that the driver could watch while driving. Sounds dangerous but they had sensors if your vehicle got to close to something the movie would disappear. They actually claimed it was safer because it made you keep back from other vehicles so you could watch your movie and when you got to close losing your movie alerted you that you were to close to the vehicle in front of you.

I forget what website I saw that module on but they had all kinds of stuff like that for cars and trucks. If I find it I will post it. A lot of cool stuff on the site
