Factory CD player error

guys--got a factory single-disc CD system in my 2001 Tahoe. Midway through a CD, it just stopped, flashed 'err' and ejected the CD. I tried several different CDs, all with the same result. No joy in the manual...any ideas? Don't want/can't afford a new system, and wanting to avoid the dealer.

i had the same problem with mine i also have an 2001 tahoe the next day it was fine again but it happend again from time to time thats why i got something different...... i would get something different as well or you just deal with it maybe your car didnt like the music you were playing :lol:
