ESCALADE Roof Rack Owners ? ? ? ? ?

When you installed the escalade Roof Rack, The OEM roof rack has a thing in the middle does this piece even take screws, what's under there? Does it have something there where the Escalade roof rack attaches too?

Yes, there is a clip that goes there fastened with the bolt in the stock location. I can't find a pic of it bit it looks like a spool about 1" diam. x 1 1/2 high.. I'll try and dig up a pic..

So i can't use anything that came off the Oem Roof Rack there? It's something the escalade roof rack came with?

The only parts you can use off the OEM are the bolts other than that they should come off the Escalade rack. I took mine off a buddys that was getting repo'd.

Please, Because the guy i bought the roof rack (I Guess has a Junk Yard,From Ebay) and is telling me nothing goes there. If i have a Picture of what goes there maybe then he'll see what am missing

Ok, The Tahoe is in the shop getting some work done on the interior but what you're missing are called "plates". I'm looking at the parts list and they are part # 15916756 they are about $5.00 a piece x2 (you need 2 of them) and they are fastened by the original torx screws. You can pick these up at your local GM dealership. Probably cheaper/faster than going thru the seller.. Hope this helps..

I got a couple of pics, this is what they sent me. Let me know if this is the right part

That's it. That should do it. Just put those in the middle and when you set in the rail just slide it to the side and the rail will lock up on the plates the just put in the fasteners at the corners followed by the end caps..

Here are a couple os PICS, when i finished removing the Out and installing the New used Roof Rack, but it was getting DARK. I KNOW THE IS DIRTY, but i passed it through a Car Wash yesterday and it was clean, but coming In and Out is all it takes, and i know i also need a Lowering Kit really Bad
