Does anyone know if the HID lights and housing on an 07 Escalade will fit into an 07 Denali? Just curious since it is the same exact body.

I think if you look @ the actual housing, the fit is NOT identical. Denali's housing looks just a bit wider than the Esky's. I would cross-ref part #s, if you're not convinced... If what I say is true, then look more @ the bulbs and HID pkgs that come w/ each model...THEN make a determination.

Now that I'm thinking of it... Why would you want to know???

Oh I was thinking it was an exact fit. I was asking because I currently have an aftermarket HID kit and was wondering the stock HID kit in the Escalade would 1, work and 2 be shine further down the road.

All I can say to that is, 1) do your research, 2) continue to post for answers--guys on this forum are great!, 3) check the OEM bulb match against aftermarket products out there...

I take it you're not satisfied w/ your aftermarket HID product? :yesnod: Where did you get them?

I definitely know the bulbs are different. I will see what responses I get, people are definitely very helpful here.

I am pleased with my McCulloch kit, but I had an Xsighting Lighting HID kit which included the housing on a 2003 Tahoe and it was incredible!! So now that I have something to compare the McCulloch too, I want the brightness back. I was told the problem is that the arc in the current housing was created for the OE H13 bulb and not HID bulbs. So the light isn't projecting as far according to the individual I spoke with.

Yup -- it's a "beam-focus" thing. I agree with you, which is why I'll be happy to see some aftermarket 2007+ Yukon projector housings (i.e. lens-based) show up on the market!

Ahhh...the reason why you were focused on the Esky's light housing... Yes, I thought I noticed an arc-enhancing fab on the Esky's front light housing... I get it... Well, I was going to go Japanese w/ my HID conv kit... What do you guys say to that? Euro or Jap when it comes to HID conversion kits?

So, Getwired, I'm to understand that Denalis don't come w/ HIDs? What's up w/ that??? Why is it that JUST the Eskys come w/ the HIDs??? I think the Denalis should come standard w/ them also and it should be an option on the Hoe.

Another thing...I love the Denalis, but w/ GM, I've noticed there's very little difference between makes/models when it comes to installed options (why so particular w/ the HIDs, industry standard for high-end vehicles)... This is definitely not like the Japanes made cars...:shhh: Wait, did I just say that on a GM forum?!! :smilielol:

Maybe it's just me but I've never been sold on an aftermarket HID conversion kit. They emit blue close to the stock HID but it never seems to match up exactly. I used to have an Acura TL and those HID's were UNBELIEVABLE. Far greater output then you'd ever find from a bulb. To this day I cannot figure out why the Denalis did not get HID's (or something similar to the lamps from last model) and LED's. Just blows my mind. The Acadia gets LED's, not the Denalis???? :confused2:

That is correct. No HIDs (or LEDs other than the mirror turn signals and the third brake light) on Denali. It's retarded not to have LEDs all the way around, and no HID option. They seem to reserve all of that (and more) for Escalade. Escalade ESV has an optional third-row DVD screen, heated and cooled seats, HIDs, LEDs, 22's, blah blah blah, bling bling bling. But even if my budget would have been $15K more, I'm not sure I would have spent it anyway -- the Escalade carries a "certain stereotype" with it that I'm not sure I'm personally 100% comfortable with...

What's the diff between a loaded Denali and a loaded Tahoe / Suburban LTZ? Nothing, except about a few thousand dollars, and maybe some style points (one way or the other) depending on who you talk to. What can you get on Denali that you CANT get on LTZ? How 'bout a 6.2L Engine, AWD, 6-speed trans, and there may be some options only on Denali, but I'm not gonna spend the time to figure it out... Denali has only like 5 or 6 options, where-as you can equip a Tahoe/Suburban nearly any way you like to fit your style / budget.

And obviously I'm happy just to add these things myself to my Denali where possible, and move on with my sad, boring life...

How did who mean what? I'm corn-fused!

If you mean me, then: 1) I didn't mean anything besides I think that Denali and LTZ are nearly identical. 2) I'm no rap-star so I don't drive an Esky (couldn't find a gold-toothed smiley dude, sorry). 3) I'm a boring thirty-something guy trapped in suburbia who's content to drive around in his "tweaked" soccer-mom Denali. :rolleyes2: Oh, and who drives a crappy old Caravan on off-days when the soccer-mom needs her kid-mobile.

Now, back to the HIDs... Get some!!! :D

Also the Esky has two fewer gauges, no oil press. or battery voltage.

And I prefer selectable 2/4WD vs AWD. :yesnod:

Yeah, it's a clean instrument cluster, but a little too clean IMO as well. It'd be nice to have 2/4 selectability in the Denali as well -- my daughter asked what the "hole" was in the dash there where that knob goes... heheheh

The Esky HID headlight DOES look really cool tho -- saw one tonight. Pretty sick looking!
