English to Metric on Nav system?

I can change the DIC from English to Metric but it only changes the gauges. The Nav system stays in English (miles). I feel silly because I think I changed it myself from metric and can't remember what I did. I've read through both the Owner's Manual and Navigation Manual but I can't find the info. Well, actually it seems to say change the setting in the DIC but when I do, the Nav doesn't change at all.

Anybody know the proper way to do it?

hmmm...I've switched mine back and forth numerous times and it works just like you speculated - you change the DIC from English to Metric and it should also change the units on your Nav system (assuming it's a factory nav unit) at the same time. At least it does on my '08 LTZ. Something might be goofy with yours.:ack:

Well that's good to know that I'm not loosing my memory :crazy:.

I forgot to mention it the last time I was at the dealership, but I'll mention it the next time I'm in. In the meantime, I found the factory NAV so lacking in features that I bought a Garmin Nuvi instead .
