My 97 can run perfect all day long. But, when I put the shifter into park, the engine dies. It will start right up again. No problem. But why does it do this? Only happens every now and again but, the idle still drops drastically when it don't stall. Any suggestions? Maybe a sensor? Maybe something out of adjustment? I don't know.

Clean the throttle bore with carb cleaner and the MAF sensor with cleaner from a parts store. Sounds like doesn't react quick enough to engine load or lack thereof. May have a TPS starting to go. Any CEL?
