The Service Engine Soon light came on and we took it to Advanced Auto Parts to see what the message was and it said that our EGR Value was the problem.

The guy at Advanced Auto parts said sometimes this can just be cleaned instead of replaced. If so, what do I clean it with?

I asked a repair shop and they said the cost of that valve is about $310, but I saw one for $141.

Where is this valve located? Is this something that I can easily install, i.e., is access to it easy and simple to uninstall and install the valve for a non-mechanic? I'm not going to go digging into my engine but if I can access it easily from the top and just unplug the old one and plug in the new one, I'll do it myself.

You might be better served by posting this in the proper model year section then, this is the 2007+ section. Some of the other guys may have run into this already, and may be able to help you out.
