Hi all, i'm new to the forum.
I currently have a 2000 Tahoe, LT, 283k miles.
Recently I have been having some electrical problems that I just cant seem to figure out.
When you have the drivers door open and use the window switch in either direction the dome light goes on and off but the window doesn't move.(doesn't matter if the truck is running or not)
When you shut the truck off and remove the key, the doors unlock as they should, however, when you open the door the radio and ACC power does not shut down. I actually need to open another door to achieve this.
If I shut the truck off and open the drivers door, and wait for varying amounts of time you'll hear a zap sound, the security light will flash rapidly and then the power will shut down. I say varying amounts of time, because sometimes it takes 30 seconds, sometimes it takes up to ten minutes. Occasionally it doesn't do it at all.
Should I consider the BCM, window switch, door ajar switch, ignition switch, or anything else that it may be?
Has anyone else had this problem?
Thanks in advance everyone!!!
