I'm looking to get dual exaust put on the tahoe. I want it to exit behind each rear tire. Does the spare tire have to be removed to have this? Should i get a full system or just get a muffler and have a shop bend some pipes? Any input would be great.

I have not seen any pics of "True" dual exhaust yet, but the popular set-up is a muffler with one input and two outlets. There are many options such as Cherry Bomb Vortex, Flowmaster, Magnaflow, etc... I had mine installed at Meineke. After the catalytic converters there is a flange. This is where the kit is attached. Usually runs about $550.00 total. It won't interfere with the spare or the trailer hitch. Good luck...you will be happy with the results. Maybe this will help:

I don't think that will fit under my Yukon. There's no room for the second muffler. The gas tank is in the way. It says it's for a 2008. On that site there's a set that looks like two straight pipes that come off a Y pipe after the flange. Besides, real true exhaust from the headers back is what I wanna see. Giddy up!
