Does anybody know if you can put a dual exhaust system on a 08 chevy tahoe. I've been to two different Midas' and they both said that there is no room underneath to put another pipe.

If it is posible, what type should i get? i was looking at the 40 series flowmaster, but i have an 08 LTZ and i don't want the exhaust to ruin the luxury of the ride, but i also want an exhaust note that sounds like a man. How is magnaflow compared to flowmaster?

Don't know about true duals all the way back - I would definitely go with the Flowmaster; I've got the kit below on my 2007 - and it's reasonably quiet - unless you put it to the floor!!!

thanks for the info, I've seen that model on flowmaster.com. i don't necessarily need true duals, single in dual out is fine with me, but i do want two pipes. I am not sold that there is no way to bend a pipe to make it fit, but thats just me, i'm not a pro.

Don't do true duals (without reducing the diameter), it will kill your low end torque for lack of scavenging velocity. With single in, dual out, it is possible but tricky. Some have said you have to remove the spare tire, but I'm of the opinion that anything is possible. I think it might require some very complex and precise bending. But there's gotta be a way if it's calculated right.

On that same link on the flowmaster site - they do have a single in dual out option - that option is inclusive of the American Thunder series muffler - i'm sure that is significantly louder than mine...

magnaflow, would be better due to the fact that the tahoes are a one piece body vehicle. it is lounder due to its one pice rather than a pickup being a two piece. and the only way that i know how to do it is removing the spare tire, which in tern would look better due to the fact that the spare tire if off set at the rear of the truck. and in my opinion i have to have a spare tire. and well i have my toolbox n the back of my hoe. so i persoanlly would only do it if u have a rear swing gate that would take care of the spare tire and if ur truck is explorer rig, it would look nice. hopefully when i get the money ill get my body lift and my rear swing gate on her. and if u do a body lift get the exhaust after u lift it. not before it looks bad all low and wutnot.
