Last night I noticed one DRL bulb out. Today, I noticed the other one out and went to "debug".

Both bulbs are good. I tested them directly to a 12 volt and they lit.
The DRL fuse looks good, although saying that, I should pull it and do a continuity test but it didn't show being blown.

Anyone have an ideas of where else to look? Other triggers that turn them on/off.

did you check the sockets themselves? they might be bad ..sounds like you got a bad wire somewhere

good luck

O.K. I'm still a little baffled but will try to explain.

When I first noticed an issue, I was standing in front of my 06 Z71 going into the garage and noticed one light on, one off. Obviously the car was in park, engine not running, keys in hand, heading towards the door.

When I went to check, I had started the truck, but the DRL's did not come on. They still don't, in any circumstance, but in DRIVE. When I'm in drive, they are on and working fine.

I don't remember it being this way. I seem to remember when I started the truck the DRL's would go on and stay on, but now it seems they are only on in drive.

I know they were on because, simply, when I discovered one bulb out, I was infront of the truck, and it wasn't running.

I'm thinking that it's the light system delaying the lights going off, but I would sware that refers to the regular low beam lights, not the DRL's.

Is any of this clicking with anyone? Leaving them off, respectfully, is not my desire, solving this problem is. Is there another setting somewhere that I don't know about?

Yeah you probably unlocked the car with the remote keyless entry. The garage is dark enough that the DRLs do come on for a while (few minutes it seems), in addition to your reverse lights, the "flood" lights on your mirrors and interior lights.

Once you put the key in and start the car, the DRLs turn off again until you shift it out of Park. (Unless you're in the garage and in that case your low beams turn on )

In every car that I've ever noticed with DRLs, they are OFF when the car is in PARK. (handbrake up on a manual transmission)

If you search ebay there is some LED replacement bulbs that I have had good luck with so that I don't have to replace them every 10,000 miles or so.
