drivers side mirror

i just bought a used 2007 ltz and the driver side mirror only at night is always dimmed. is this normal or is there something wrong with it? thanks is advanced

Need a little more detail, but if I understand you correctly, I believe this is by design...:yesnod:

it just like the rearview mirror on the windshield where it has that blue tint to it at night so headlights shining behind you don't appear so bright. well the driver side mirror is dimmed constantly at night...so much it makes it kind of hard to see out the mirror at night.

It's normal and looks bad when you are in the garage during day or first turn it on at night.

If the area is dark it might be a little hard to see. It's just right with normal traffic lighting.

The driver's side and the inside rear view mirror should both dim together. Not sure why GM didn't think the psgr side needed dimming.
