I bought 17" rims for winter, but since my '07 Yukon XL came with 20" rims, there's no information about that size on the door jamb sticker.

Can someone with an XL/Suburban and 17" wheels tell me what the recommended PSI says on the sticker?

Thanks!

My 2008 Tahoe LT1 with P265/70/17 tires has a recommended inflation on the door jamb of 30 psi.

Hope that helps.

The door jamb usually says a bit low to increase ride comfort; I usually observe that number and also look at the max on the tire, and go with a split between the two, with more consideration to what the tire says. So if the door recommends 32 and the tire says max 44 I keep it between 38-40. So I don't know the sticker for the 17s but would say you could go 5-10 psi below the max on the tire.

There ya go, so with this... Maybe it's good for snow but I would never run 30 in a truck this heavy but it's my tastes for height, firmness, treadwear, fuel economy, and avoiding under-inflation. I'd probably have at least 36 lbs.

That helps a lot, thanks! The stock 20" say 32 psi, so it's pretty close. I was worried that if there was a big difference, it would give the TPMS some weird warning messages.

I agree with you about the recommended pressures. Now that I know what it is, I'll probably run it a little higher.

Thanks, everyone! I'll post up pics of my new ATX Thugs later tonight :D.
