Hello all,

I have a problem with my 07 sport red door molding...you know the plastic colorkeyed stuff on the middle of the doors...well it is coming off like peeling away from the door and starting to bend at the ends. Anyone else having this problem? I would assume this is covered under warranty...bought it with 1k miles on it from a dealer so it is definetly still under factory warranty. Anyone know how long it will take to fix...if it gets any worse it is going to be sooo ugly! Also, if I see any of the seals breaking on all of the molding should I have them replace them all or is this just up to the disrectionary of the dealer? Sorry for all the questions! THanks!

This probably isn't much help, but the moldings are only held on with double sided tape from what I understand, same as the badges. I would imagine it would be covered under the 3 mos/36K bumper to bumper.

Yeah I just hope they are going to install a new piece as the molding is now bent because of it partially being anchored to the car...I bought her with 2k miles on it from a non chevy dealer so I am still definetly under warranty...anyone know of a good dealership for service in the Dallas/Plano/Frisco area?

Thanks so much

The mldg can be straightened out properly by using a heat gun. Then retape mldg. But as suggested prior, I would insist on a new one, only if it comes to color. If it has to be painted now ya have to worry about color match.

Jimmie48, I just had one of my moldings replace by the dealer because some ass*** slammed their door into mines so my door side molding got messed up. Anyways Im getting mines replace and the price for the molding itself is $39. Also $80 to get it installed and painted. But in your case you should be covered under warrenty. It should take about a day to get it replaced. I hope this helps....
