I have the feeling that the biggest design flaws besides the lack of storage compartments are the inability to recline and move the 2nd and 3rd row benches. My old 2001 Voyager had these features standard.

Especially an adjustable 3rd row bench would allow to switch between cargo and leg room. Is there any aftermarket or any other suggestion to correct this flaw?

Yeah but can the the Voyager pull a 5000LB trailer? I don't think so! despite the minor flaw to me the Tahoe is a far better rig, that and I hate Mini vans to begin with.

This is nothing about hate and love. For me it is just a flaw as you should be able to select either more cargo or more passenger room. I would be glad to be enlightened about the word "better". In what way you mean that?

For the trailering I know that my ´burb will never tow anything like my PSD Super Duty. But no problem here. As my Ford is for up to 4 passengers only I have the Chevy for all other things but towing.

So anyone any ideas?

I have the 2nd row buckets in my XL which do recline. The only thing I wish is that the second row buckets would slide forward to give 3rd row more room

Once again, the only way the Tahoe will get seats that fold flat into the floor is if it goes to an Independent Rear Suspension (IRS) design. Otherwise, the solid axle does not allow enough room for this feature. So, in short, no, there is no way to fix that for ya...as for the sliding seats, yes, I agree with you, wish it was possible (especially for the person sitting behind my 6'4'' self!) The Chevy Equinox suv has a bench that goes back and forth, so you'd think Chevy could do it here...let's hope future models change...

kpanza,

yep, I did not ask for fold flat seats as this is not possible for the well known reasons you already mentioned.

I need sliding benches, though. This would be easily archievable by separating the bar on which the bench is fixed on the floor to two bars. These two bars in turn could be moved against each other.

Reclining benches are no breath-taking invention at all. Removable 2nd row seats or benches would not be a big deal also. Just needs a different hinge and / with a plug for the seat heater.

In fact just a few little things which should not cost too much. In any case I wonder if there is no aftermarket supplier who can fix that?
