I just bought some Denali tail lights for my 07 Black Kon and found out that the where the bulb inserts into the light is not the right size. Why would they do that? The light housing has bigger holes that what the bulb has. I guess I could go to GM and buy the wiring harness and tie it in, but what a pain in the *ss. Does anyone have any suggestions or has anyone seen a right up of the problem.

I guess I don't understand the post. I bought Denali taillights for my Yukon and it was a simple plug and play install. I even had a bulb that was out on the new tails and just swapped it out with one from my existing tail lights.

I figured they would be plug and play as well that is why i had bought them. The harness that holds the bulb and has the socket that fits into the tail lights is smaller than the hole that is in the tail light housing. It doesn't fit together. Is it just these lights that have this problem or what? If yours fit why don't mine. So frustrated right now.

Can you see now what I mean. The holes are larger on the female end on the denali's lights than that on the Yukon.

Someone else has had to have put Denali lights on their Yukon, did you run into this as well????:mad2:

I can totally see what you are saying now. Where did you buy your tails? I bought mine from the dealership and the Denali tails came with the "male" fitting and the bulbs already included. Did yours not come this way? You shouldn't have to swap anything from your old tail lights to the new ones. You just remove the old tails, set them aside, slap the new ones on, plug them in and install the 2 screws. That should be it. If you are having to remove fittings and bulbs from your old tails then you weren't given the complete Denali tail lights.

Hey, here's an idea: maybe you guys can compare the actual GM part numbers you ordered -- I betcha that'll show that gmcul8r ordered the whole assembly, and rockrawler ordered just the housing... Just a thought.
