Dead miss

My 96 yukon just started missing on one cyl, ran fine when I parked it the night before but when I started it the next day it had a dead miss, it was raining all night if that could have something to do with it, it has check eng light on flashing now, tryed puting in a spark plug but did no good any ids?

Im sure you already tried this, but double check all your spark plug wires and connections.( at the plu and at the dist) I had a similar problem when it would rain ( or get super foggy) and by wiggling all the wires, I was able to get it to work properly.
Finally after replaceing the plug and a new set of wires, I never had the problem again.

I will try the wires up top, I pulled all the plugs and checked for fouling so moved all the wires on the plugs but not on top Ill try that, do you have to re-set the hard coad?/B]

I dont think so, once the engine discovers that it is firing properly, I think the light will go back off.

Well went and put new cap & rotor and wire on still bad, might be bad injector,calling friend who works at goodyear see what he knows.

Thanks for the input, I narrowed it down to a clogged injector on # 2 cly, going in to have the injectors cleaned, $150 at the shop or wait for my bud from goodyear to come over with his gizmo and do it here and pay just for the cans of cleaner $15 a can and a 12 pack of beer, hes 99% sure it will fix it he does 4 or 5 a week and it works great, hope that will do it. :crazy:

Well the cleaning didn't work, cleaned all the good ones but had to replace #2 injector, now it runs like new.
