Today I was driving on a county road with my wife when we came around a corner to a dio in the road. It was marked DIP but when we got it, it was more like a ditch. So bad it snapped my CV axle. Not doing my research thoroughly, I removed the axle from the tahoe and started to drive home thinking it was fine without the axle installed. I was dead wrong and ended up almost losing the wheel and ruining the wheel hub. Long story short I replace both the CV shaft and Wheel hub assembly on the side of the road. Now when I hit the brakes the traction control icon comes on as if I turned it off and the stability control disabled display comes on. Mind you I bought a Moog wheel hub assembly and it came with a new sensor line which I did not install. I just used the factory one. But tomorrow I will remove the tire and try that but I don't see how that would affect it.

Any help would be appreciated.

2006 tahoe with autoride and 4wd.

Sorry to hear of your troubles. It's not uncommon for folks to attempt driving 1 of these 4x4s minus a CV shaft with a resulting wheel hub separation and even bigger problems than you originally imagined. Some folks have been thoughtful enough to post warnings on the interweb; thank God I spend enough time surfing as to have personally read them.

Did you swap the original ABS sensor with the new 1? Did you take any pics of the carnage that resulted from the hub coming apart?
