Good Morning All
We are learning about our new (used) Tahoe after moving from a 2008 Pilot, and I have a question regarding the performance of the cruise control. The Tahoe will drop off 2-3 mph when going up a hill and then accelerate 2-3 mph over the set speed after cresting, before finally finding the set speed again. I understand that it will coast faster and faster down hill (the Pilot didn't; it automatically downshifted the tranny to hold speed) but is it normal to have that "loose" of control? Maybe it's just something we need to ge used to? Thanks for any input.

Welcome to the neighborhood!

I honestly can't answer that one. I have owned many Chevy trucks and they were all different. Our Denali maintains speed up and down hills in cruise better than any we have ever ever had while others act like you are talking about. My Duramax pickup is so bad about that, I won't run it in cruise.
