What would be the best way to do this seeing as there is no drain valve or radiator cap? My main concern is trying to get all of the air pockets out afterwards.

Drop the lower radiator hose. I just did this on my Yukon. I replaced the thermostat. I think that they have pretty much kicked the possibility of air bubbles in these newer systems. I dropped the coolant, replaced the stat, replaced the hose, filled the tank until it was full and stopped draining down into the block. Then I ran the truck, got to normal temps, shut it down, let it cool, checked, topped off, and I haven't had an issue since.
