A little back story, I had a 99 Tahoe LT years ago and absolutely loved it. I ditched it when gas was getting into the 2.00/gallon range (seems laughable now), but also because it had some transmission issues. Everytime I see a new body Tahoe I find myself wishing I had one.
Anyway, I've been casually looking at dealers in my area and it's often hard to find a 07/08 LTZ, but when I do, they're usually in the 85k+ miles range. As a general rule of thumb, I don't buy high mileage used cars, but in the event I am serious about one of these, I'm curious if people have had a lot of problems with their Tahoe or would be cautious about getting a high mileage one. Obviously running the Carfax on anything I get, and I suppose I could have it checked out by a private mechanic as well, but should I even bother or just wait it out for a lower mileage one?
