Hi guys,

New member here, nice to be back on Tahoe forums. I owned a 1997 before but when I started having a lot of electrical problems, I gave her up and moved on to a 2003 V8 4Runner. Anyhow, I just bought my Aunt's 2007 LTZ as quality seems to be really good on this vehicle and I need something bigger to pull my boat.

Anyhow, I had the rear door, black plastic moulding pieces replaced (both sides) as the uppermost tabs were broken/cracked. Are there any other common things you guys are having replaced that I should keep an eye out for?

Additionally, the black step guards on both running boards as well as the step tray on the rear bumber sure seem to oxidize easily. I did use some Black Magic cleaner on the bumper's step tray and that brought it back nicely but don't want to use such a slippery product on the running boards. Any good cleaner for them?

Thanks in advance!

Some of the early build (12-05 thru about 4-06) had a problem with the hockey stick trim on the rear door windows. I've had several of the body side moldings replaced because they were not stuck on well.

Not sure what you mean by oxidizing on the treads. Mine clean up using a stiff bristle brush and car wash soap.
