i have a 1999 tahoe. it has a cold start problem. have to use starting fluid to get it going. starts right up and is good for the day. has a new pump, filter and tank. let it sit over night and needs fluid to start.i took it to the dealer and they told me i need a new spider assembly. if thats was the case why would it start right up with fluid and run great all day starting up no problem.

When cold, it is really thick and gummed.(what im told) You might try cleaning the injector assembly out first, before popping for new ones. But unless you know somebody that has the proper tools to do this, a dealer may be your only option. Try running some injector cleaner through a few tanks first, if you don't mind doing what you are.

When I did my LIM gaskets I kinda scrubbed the end of my poppets with some carb cleaner and a soft brush, looked good.... runs good.

Check the CTS and make shure it is reading right.

CHECK FUEL PRESSURE at KOEO, KOEC and KOER. Might crank the ignition on and off a couple times and see if it starts easier......
