A couple years ago we had an area used car dealer locate, buy and deliver a 2003 lower mileage Tahoe. He failed to mention that when he sold us the truck the cluster and the CD changer was wacked. He denied knowing anything was wrong even though he just drove it back 500 miles and said it all probably just happened while sitting in his lot waiting for me to pick it up. He did offer to fix it and I shot myself in the foot and OK'ed it.

When I picked up the repaired truck it now shows 70k miles more than what it actually has as he put in a used cluster and threw the original one away. Now that we are going to trade the truck Im stuck with the mileage issues well with the truck title now branded to 'Not Actual' in the mileage portion.

I went ahead and ordered a new cluster and had the mileage set to the accurate amount. I know I have to turn this cluster core back in. Im wondering what other things are going to surface when Delco (or whoever) inspects this old cluster and I see I ordered one with lower mileage to replace it. I can show documentation of all that went on but I got real nervous when I couldn't even get a Dealership to touch the situation.

Oh and yes I have absolutely fired a used car dealer that Ive been good friends with that Ive dealt with for 25 years.

Thanks for any input you can give!
