ok looking around, i found chevy is gunna add a 4th lambda to the line, the chevy version, it looks like the buick enclave.

but it starts at like 22k.

here is what it has.

Heated and cooled seats, Mirror spotter, Projector beam Bi- Xenon head lights, Daul exhaust, power lift gate, Real time XM radio traffic, Blue tooth, 6 speed transmission, fold flat third row, the list goes on and on.

but why did they put all this on the new car and not add the stuff to the tahoes burbs/ conts and all their other cars and trucks.

C mon chevy, we want this stuff on the tahoe too. :mad2:

It's not likely to be that cheap to start, but close in base LS form. It will NOT have all of those items at that price...most of that was posted as far as what will be standard and optional across the other trims, which go 1LT, 2LT, LTZ, etc. just like the Tahoe and others. It will be fairly basic to start off, with a lot of the extra toys relegated to higher trims.

Many of the new features, such as Bluetooth, are going to be more widespread across GM than just these Lambdas, as should various things like the XM traffic. Electronics usually spread out, across many vehicles with GM.

As far as things like the 6-speed (OLD news, and this has been beaten to death), we know the answer there, and with the fold-flat seats, well that's never been done in the big GM SUV's and won't anytime soon because of the live axle setup they retain in the rear, etc.

So, don't worry too much, many of the items will spread, and seeing these initial Traverse details are just a preview. We'll know more about specifics of '09 changes across the board next month sometime.

i know the standard price wont have most of that stuff, but i mean we have been wanting hids, bluetooth ( i dont but other people do ), cooled seats, six speed, etc.

but we have an acadia AND an enclave ( well my parents do) and i love them both and love their options. but it would be nice to have all of that on the ones we own as well as the new tahoes.

I hope they don't redesign them before that soon, that would make my 2004 look really old :cryin:.

Where did you get that info RT? That's the first I've heard about the traverse.

i used to go to these forums:, enclaveforum.net Traverseforum.com, the admins newest , till they became like Xmfan.com where if i said my opinion or asked why they were so picky about stupid stuff ( like the buttons for the ac not to their likeing and they will never buy gm because of it. just @ssinine) i got flamed and people complained when i gave my 2 cents. so i left as a member, but still check out stuff as a guest. but i still get info on stuff. Traverseforum is gunna give you the best, then enclaveforum.net. the other too are ok, but the acadia one is HUGE, and saturn one is a desert waste land.

The Traverse is old news, and details are everywhere. It will be officially shown soon, and start production & sales in a few months.

Think of a GMC Acadia with a curvier rear end like the Buick Enclave slightly, and then with the new face and interior look of the all new 2008 Malibu...and you have it.

Sure...how about committing to trying to spell partially correctly, and using capitals and punctuation once in a while instead;)

Sorry to bring that from other forums, but it really can be a mess to read and I've never seen so many words...made up...like that...

Maybe I should just try and be overly nice...:skep:

Back to the Traverse, YES, very soon. We essentially know what it is, has, etc., just will be nice to see it without any tape, etc., and get figures on the DI 3.6L for the Lambdas.

i think i read 304hp, but not sure about torque. hopefully that extra power will fix the bad tranny issues. they lag like crazy, and shift at odd points, dont down shift very quickly when you floor it, and they up shift WAY to quickly when accelerating.
