Here's a checklist I made up to be sure I didn't miss anything when I applied the 303 Aerospace Protectant to the exterior trim pieces. I figured it was worth the time every few weeks to prevent / reduce the dreaded fading of these pieces over time. Hopefully, it's useful to some of you as well:

  • Roof
  • Roof Rack Rails
  • Onstar antenna
  • Weatherstrips:
  • Sunroof
  • Top of liftgate
  • Top of each door
  • Rear half (runs from liftgate to rear door) on each side
    Back
  • Rear wiper assembly (not the blade)
  • Glass handle
  • Bumper (do this at your own risk of slipping)
  • Weatherstrip around rear facia closeout
  • Spare tire (check it’s pressure & loosen & retighten the bolt while you’re under there)
    Driver Side (rear to front)
  • Mudflap
  • Rear tire & tire well
  • Trim around rear door window
  • Weatherstrip between doors
  • Trim around front door window
  • Mirror assembly (except chrome / painted covers)
  • Front tire & tire well
    Passenger side (rear to front)
  • Mudflap
  • Rear tire & tire well
  • Trim around rear door window
  • Weatherstrip between doors
  • Trim around front door window
  • Mirror assembly (except chrome / painted covers)
  • Front tire & tire well
    Front
  • Trim / weatherstrip around windshield
  • Wiper assemblies (minus blades)
  • Large 3-inch wide trim piece across entire base of windshield
