Thanks! It is indeed #8 sparkplug, and it took an hour or so to figure out how to contort myself above and below the truck to get a T-bar ratchet and U-joint in to remove and replace. The challenge is tightening, and not overdoing it. It easier to remove it from underneath and going through the wheel well, and replacing it from above the block. Cut my hand up though.
Definitely I am not pleased with the design in respect to weekend mechanics!I changed the battery a while back and that took all kinds of time because of all the bric a brac you have to remove. I also don't like the independant electric air fan. Years ago I built a container yard with a primary base made of crushed concrete. At the time I was using a Jeep Laredo as a yard vehicle and I must have burned out 3 fans with the residue. Not a problem with my 96 Tahoe as it was direct off the block.
The new plugs are Bosche Fusion Iridium/Platinum. Definite increase in horsepower - 5-7% perhaps?
