Hello. I am hoping someone can help me. I have a 2004 Tahoe with a flex fuel - fuel filter. After a little searching online, I have found that I need the special tool to get the hose end off.

My question is on how the tool works. Does it just go up into the open end of the hose and push into some slots that releases the hose? I am just having trouble looking at a picture of it and visualizing how it works.

If anyone is familar with the tool, any info would help me out alot.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks,
Joseph

It is probabily just a fuel line tool. You just have to clip it around the line going into the fuel filter, and push it into the filter. Imagine 4 clips holding this togethor (pushing down on the line), so you have to give it some pressure to push the clips UP so the line can be released.

Once you apply pressure, you should be able to wiggle the fuel filter or just turn it and pull on it a bit to see if you have the clips disengaged.
