Hello,

I have a few questions for anyone familiar with the requirements of a certified vehicle. First off, I am not a mechanic so i don't use very technical terms. I bought my hoe in feb of this year and it was GM certified. My question is about the brake pads and rotors. Recently my father and I started to convert all fluids over to synthetic and while he was underneath the hoe he greased all fittings and looked at the inside of the rotors. He says and I also notice that there appears to be two grooves on the inside of the rotors. the outside doesn't appear to have these grooves. my question is what do the pads and rotors have to be for it to be a "ceritfied" vehicle. Also, when we drained the front diff it was half a quart low on fluid. i bought it with 39,xxx on it and now have 43,xxx on it. Will going to the dealership and talking with the service manager do any good or am I entirely wasting my time? This is my first Tahoe and I love it but I don't want to have to replace my brakes if this should have been done to become certified, right?
