So i bought the factory Bose Sub off ebay. I removed the center console on my 08 Tahoe to see how it would fit. I ended up installaling it but haven't hooked it up. I bought the JP harness to add an amp. I have a Kenwood 6" subwoofer with a built-in amp that I'm going to take apart and use on the factory sub. I found a 2 wire connector that was taped up when I removed the center console. i was happy because I thought it was the connector for the sub. Luckily the connector didn't fit. Good because it ended up being a 12v power source. It has constant power. What could it be for? I have the non-bose Cd player with the rear controls in the center console. I'd like to use this to power up my amp.

Do you have the rear seat heaters? If you don't, it could be the power for them...

There are multiple center consoles, some might require an additional electric hookup which yours lacks.

The constant 12V source is for a cigar plug inside the console.
