can you reseal or rebuild your oem a/c compressor??

on our 99 Tahoe sport 4x4 5.7l it looks like the compressor has a big leak. but it also looks like you can see visible wetness about the center ring. I don't even know does the compressor separate in half there and is there a seal kit to buy?

Yes, and yes.

I would just get a compressor kit, you can get a new compressor, dryer, orings, and orifice tube for a little over $200.......

on ebay there are rebuild oem compressors with a new dryer oil orings for $150 ish and brand new is like $250

Autozone has a compressor kit for $230 and a reseal kit for $16....
