Can the LT badges on the back door pillar be removed on a 2001 Tahoe? If so, how do you do it?

I used a hard plastic squeegee to get the edge up, and gently pulled them both off. I imagine heat would help too, but I did not need it. It will leave some tape behind, but that comes off by rolling it up with your finger. I used 99% alcohol to clean up afterward, and then polished the area around it to blend the exposed paint to the area where the badges were.

Getting the edge up is the hardest part, especially on the thicker areas. Just don't use anything metal to pry on it, and don't be in too big a hurry!

Good Luck

Depending on the vehicle, I like both ways. 00-06 tahoes - debadged. 07+ Leave on because of the separate lettering. Looks way better. If someone debadges their 07+ and can keep the TAHOE letters in good condition, I'll buy them.

I screwed up my paint removing my badges because somebody used super glue or some crazy adhesive on them. I needed to get a few dents pulled out the door and tailgate anyway but I can't stand badges on my vehicles.

Use a piece of monofilament fishing line (like 5-8lb test) and a blow drier to soften. Be careful not to heat the paint too much.

It cleans up the look of the vehicle to alot of people. I'm usually ok with leaving the badging on the car if it came on it. Althought I must admit, if I had a new Z06, I'd definatly get that "GM" badge removed from the sides.
