Can I run a BFG Mud 255/75/17 on 17x9 rim?

I cam across a cheap set of Helo Maxx 6 wheels and want to know if I can run these 17x9 wheels on my new set of 255/75/17 BFG Mud's?

I keep getting mixed answers...Some say yes no problem and others say its not safe? Help me out here guy's any input?

I need to make a qucik decision before he sells them...

Offset or backspacing?

-12mm offset and 4.53" backspacing

With that offset which is close to 2" different than stock, the tires will probably stick out too far and the front ones will rub.
