Cali Catalytic Convertor Question?

Unfortunately I live in CA! Where an ordinary cat would cost $80, but no since I am so lucky to live in CA I have to pay 4 times more! Here's my question...

1. What is the difference between a "CA" cat vs. a "non-CA" cat?
2. I have a 99 4x4 am I correct that I have 2 cats?
3. What is the diameter of the stock exhaust pipe.

Another quick question...
All the picks I see show the cats on the straight part of the pipe... If I look under my hoe, the cats are on the angled, 45 degree part of the exhaust pipe! Please help, which one is right?

I have a 98 4x4 Yukon. I have dual cats with four O2 sensors. I just had to replace the cat assembly. It looks like dual 2" pipe coming off each manifold and into each cat. It ends at a flange that bolts to the front of the muffler. I used a Walker assembly and paid about 350 for it. It's stainless like the factory stuff.

You do have 2 cats. And if you replace it with a non-cali approved cat, and you run a smog test, you will fail until you replace it with the right one

your welcome to come take all the california stuff off of mine anytime. Just leave some pipe in place of the cats and take the annoying air injection pump too.

And while you're out here you have to shoot at least 5 different guns that are banned in cali for just a sweet taste of freedom. (just don't get caught with any weed or you can go to prison for like 99 years)
