Anyone know if the 07-up Tahoes have cabin air filters for the AC system? After these fires in So Cal, we have had ash blowing every time the Santa Ana winds blow...came back from a trip last week, and my Tahoe was covered in gritty ash and soot...now when I start the truck in the morning, I get small particles of ash blown out of the vents...is the air intake for the AC near the cowl?

And if we do have the cabin air filters (sorry, searched for that term on here and go no matches, and my Hoe is at the dealer right now having some other issues taken care of, so can't look in manual), can you tell me where they are located and how much a replacement is? Thanks!

Of course, the Service tech at the dealer had no clue... :rolleyes2:

For some strange reason, the Tahoes don't have a cabin air filter.

Yes, the air intake is thru the black plastic at the base of the W/S.

Aha, so that explains why I am getting so much ash inside now...it was really heavy at the base of the windshield...gonna try vacuuming it this weekend. That IS weird that they don't have the filters...I was looking online yesterday and they were showing apps for previous Tahoes and GM trucks, but didn't see any 07-up for Tahoes? Wonder why?

What I'm waiting for is the dealer to try to tell me that they "changed the cabin air filter" and try to charge me for it... :smilielol:
