Hi guys I am contemplating putting a brush guard on my 08 Tahoe. I was wondering if anyone here has one? And if you do could you please post pics and some feedback on it? Thanks

I put one on my 2004 Tahoe but I haven't put one on my 2008. I really like the way it looks, but the downside is fuel economy and it feels like the front end is weighed down. I'm glad I put it on there but I don't think I'm going to put one on my Z. If you do put one on, go with the Westin. It's well worth the extra money as far as looks and long term wear.

I've been looking at Brush Guards too - trying to figuar out if I like the look or not. I did not even think about the weight or the effect on fuel economy. Do you think a brush guard has a significant impact on fuel economy?

Not too bad, probably a little over 1 MPG. As for the weight, you get used to it, it just feels a little weighed down at slow speeds like in the neighborhood at first.

I personally don't really like the look too much on most anything, especially a truck that looks as good as these. The worst I think is actually the GM Accessories one, ugh. But what I do like but still don't know if it would work on these is some kind of bull or push bar, just simple functionality. And a big + if you can mount lights on it.
But 1 mpg lost from having one on there? Would never have thought it was that much... That's really bad, I couldn't do that and be okay with it. Feeling the extra weight plowing around aint no good either.

Ya, I never would have expected that much of a decrease. Not worth it to me if thats the case.
