It seems that I have a broken motor mount or one of the other mounts. I was wondering if anyone else has dealt with this issue? I'm having a hard time figuring out which mount is the problem.

Same here!

My departmental take home cruiser, a 2012 Tahoe police model seems to have broken motor mounts. When I accelerate, you can hear and feel the "clunk" of the weight shifting. It makes me cringe to hear it! The city shop won't fix them; they say "yeah, they all do that." However, it would seem that having play / flex in the engine seating would cause a torquing of the transmission / other important components at some point. Did you find a fix for yours? Can anyone tell me what I can expect if the shop doesn't fix this?

There seams to be a lot of issues with the driver's side motor mount. Pain in the butt to swap out. The part is around $100 and take about 4 hours to swap (per local dealer) I think.

When I swapped out mine it took 1.5 to 2hrs.

If my city shop will not fix it, is there a major concern of further damage to the vehicle? ie: torquing of transmission, etc.

Not really. There's still bolts holding it from completely torquing off, but I would definitely recommend not getting on it real hard from a stop and swapping it out as soon as possible.
