Well I ended up breaking my drivers side mirror. The painted portion and the part that connects to the vehicle are all fine I am pretty sure it just is the part that is inside that are and the part that connects it to the mirror. What parts would I need to fix this or do I just need a whole new unit?

Not sure about parts but you can get whole mirrors on Ebay for really cheap compared to new parts.
