That **** is a rip-off, I would never spend the amount Brembo wants for those brake kits on a performance car, talkless of an SUV!

Those are some kick ass brakes. My dads car has there 8 piston brake system and they give new meaning to stopping on a dime. Worth the price once you experience them. Its nice to know that you can stop fast if you need to.

the stock brakes are preety damn good on this truck though. Why are you replacing them??? Mine always jults me forward as I dont remember how good they work. lightyears better than the silverado. Im ready to do aftermarket on the silverado, but the brakes for all 4 would cost more than the truck did. WTF just to buy them, install would be even more.

Those type of brakes are never needed on a SUV. The stock brakes with stock pads are sufficient enough that my braking limitation is in the tires, not the brakes. So what if I have the best brakes out there? I don't ever see myself or anyone else with SUVs riding around in racing slicks to maximize their braking.

Are you installing the Brembo on the Silverado. I just cant see paying the money for the Brembo kit. I like the way they look, but i just cant belive that they will perform 100000% better than stock vs. Cost. Even the Baer Aluma sport is high, but i can except that better than the other.

I'd like to get a hold of the parts that convert the front fog light holes to front brake air ducts.

The best brakes won't help you stop faster if the traction isn't there. If your current set-up is good enough to activate the abs system or lock the tires on non-abs equipped vehicles, then the larger kit won't help. If you have an upgraded wheel/tire package and/or much stickier tires that are hard to lock up and skid, then you can possibly benefit from a better brake set-up and improve your stopping distances.

Most of the aftermarket brake systems use fixed calipers with multiple pistons. Also, the rotors in some kits are a two piece design. The types of materials used in both the caliper assembly and rotors and the strict manufacturing tolerances also dictate the price as well.
