Brake Lights Stuck On

Came home one day to find my Hoe sitting in the parking spot with all three taillights lit up (as if I were pressing the brake). Tried to mess with some things, drove it around, messed with the brake pedal. Finally just unhooked the battery since it was too late to do anything about it. Has anyone had this problem? I had an old Nissan Sentra and the taillights wouldnt turn on and had to replace the turn signal lever. Is this the same problem?

Check behind the brake pedal itself, there is a "sensor" "button" that trips the brake lights, it is depressed when you hit the brake pedal. Double check and make sure that it isn't stuck in place.
